Question

How long does the strip/wafer last?

Answer

3 hours while awake and 6 hours while asleep.

Question

How often must I use it?

Answer

Once a day or night for at least 3 to 6 months, and after that, intermittently. That’s because it takes time to generate colonies of probiotics in the mouth. And dental probiotics tend to wash out after several weeks or months because they don’t make the sticky, glue-like biofilms that dental pathogens make.

Question

What’s the retail price?

Answer

This is a premium product and is not as easy to make as lozenges and tablets. Nevertheless, the market price for a product like this needs also to consider the competition. So, I will try to get the retail price to below $40 per container of 30 strips/wafers. I know that the marketing image shows a breath strip cassette with 10 strips, but the final package may actually be a bottle or a set of blister-packs. We’ll see. But no matter what, it probably can’t be sold for more than $40 per 30 count.

Question

What is the flavor?

Answer

Very mild mint.

Question

What’s the sweetener?

Answer

Zerose (Erythritol from Cargill)

Question

Is it toxic to pets?

Answer

No. Erythritol is safe for dogs, cats, and other pets. There is no xylitol in the  product.

Question

Is it Vegan?

Answer

Yes.

Question

What are the probiotic strains in the payload?

Answer

That is still to be determined. But there will be at least 3 strains, and hopefully 4 strains, and in a future version there may be as many as 11 strains as we continue to improve. Diversity is a keystone component, and we will strive to obtain as much diversity as possible as soon as possible economically.

Question

Where is it manufactured?

Answer

In the USA, but not sure which state yet. Maybe New Jersey, maybe California. We’ll see. Last year I thought it would be Florida, but the hurricanes wiped out the factory. After that, I thought it would be Pennsylvania, but the proposed company decided they couldn’t use live organisms- – only chemicals. So, now I’m working on the next possible manufacturer. Nevertheless, for a product as important as this, I want American technology. But if I must compromise, there are a few good probiotic companies in Canada.

Question

Is it possible to choke on a strip/wafer.

Answer

Basically, no. The chances are extremely low. The only reason I added the choking warning is to comply with product liability requirements, FDA regulations, etc. The strips/wafers adhere in the mouth within 10 or 15 seconds and they flatten out and spread out eventually to form a film-like coating of the oral mucosa. It is virtually impossible to choke on a thin film-like coating. But even if you somehow could accomplish that, or inhale a strip/wafer, since it’s natural, it would soon dissolve in the lungs.
